Alive Outside Summer Camps 2026 are built around one clear goal: to give children aged 7–13 an unforgettable summer that blends real outdoor adventure with meaningful learning.
Based in the stunning Killruddery Estate, home to Hell & Back and Ireland’s Fittest Family, our camps have been fully redesigned for 2026 following extensive development, testing and collaboration with local experts. The result is our most ambitious, engaging and purposeful camp programme to date.
What Makes Our Camps Different:
A major addition for 2026 is the introduction of STEM as a core part of our camp programme ⚛️ – delivered in a way that feels nothing like school.
STEM at Alive Outside is fully immersive and adventure-led. Children don’t see worksheets or equations. Instead, STEM concepts are built invisibly into high-energy outdoor missions, where learning happens naturally through action and teamwork. This is adventure first, learning second – and it works. Every STEM activity has been carefully tested for engagement, safety and educational impact, ensuring children are learning without even realising it.

WEEKLY 2026 ACTIVITIES:
- The Splash Attack Slide, Walk the Plank Water Jump & Pontoon Mania – A true kid favourite and a standout part of the 2026 adventure.
- Kayaking in Double and Single Kayaks – Take to the water in single or double kayaks, developing paddling skills, experiencing teamwork and confidence building as you explore the lake.
- Slalom Kayaking (New for 2026) – Twist, turn and race through our Slalom Kayaking course – fast, fun and full of challenges.
- STEM (New for 2026) – Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths – an immersive outdoor mission, turning problem-solving and creativity into a real-world adventure. Co created by expert consultant Mireia Lopez.
- The Creativity Hub – Build, create and solve with a fun STEM twist.
- Explore Quest (New for 2026) – A high-energy outdoor mission where campers learn practical survival and navigation skills, practise search-and-rescue style challenges, track wildlife, battle it out in Capture the Flag and tackle tasks inspired by Ireland’s Fittest Family TV show.
- Outdoor Survival Adventure – Learn the ancient art of atlatl throwing, knot tying and shelter building as campers work together to create their own survival village, finishing with toasted marshmallows.
- The Trial Arena (New for 2026) – This teambuilding zone with immersive challenges inspired by Europe’s best events and the big screen, built to bring kids together through action and interaction.
- The HELL & BACK Junior Obstacle Challenge – Expertly designed obstacles that challenge children safely while building confidence and resilience.
- Outdoor Lazer Tag – Step into an immersive outdoor battleground where teams communicate, strategise and outsmart their opponents.
- Kids’ Choice (New for 2026) – A child-led wildcard session where campers choose their favourite activity to revisit, building confidence, ownership and independence by having a real say in their day.
- The Alive Outside Olympics – A fun, non-competitive mix of sports and games where campers get to try their hand at activities like rounders, tag rugby, bulldog, football and basketball, all focused on participation, teamwork and enjoyment.

- We’ve taken everything we’ve learned over the past few years and rebuilt our camps from the ground up for 2026. The result is our most exciting, varied and engaging programme yet – packed with adventure, creativity and hands-on learning.
- STEM is now part of our weekly camp experience but not in a classroom way. Kids won’t see worksheets or equations. Instead, they’ll be solving problems, taking on outdoor missions and working things out together – learning by doing without even realising it.
- Many of our activities are built around working together. From Capture the Flag and survival villages to kayaking and the Trial Arena, campers learn how to communicate, support each other and succeed as a team.
- New for 2026, Kids’ Choice gives campers the chance to choose the activity they loved most and do it again. Giving kids that choice builds confidence, ownership and excitement – and they love it.
- We’ve taken inspiration from the best outdoor events we’ve experienced across Europe, along with challenges seen on shows like Ireland’s Fittest Family, to create immersive, high-energy experiences kids genuinely get excited about.
- Every activity is carefully planned, tested and led by experienced Instructors. Kids are challenged, supported and encouraged – always with safety at the centre of everything we do.
- Every camper finishes the week with a Certificate of Achievement, marking what they’ve taken on, learned and achieved during their time with us.

Missed the deposit option? Don’t worry! You can still book a place for your child on our Summer Camps today. Full payment is now required at the time of booking.
In February & March, we offered families the chance to secure a spot with a €30 deposit, with the remaining balance due 3 weeks before camp. Due to huge demand, that option is now fully booked!

Summer Camp Prices
Family discounts are available, giving you €10 off for each additional child registered. So, for example, in a 5-day camp:
- The first child costs €177
- The second child costs €167 (€177 + €167 = €344)
- The third, and every subsequent child, costs €157 (€177 + €167 + €157 = €501)
